What I Wore Wednesday

I have wanted to do one of these post for a few weeks now, but I was nervous to. I wore a cute outfit to church last Sunday and I had my husband take a picture of me just in case I wanted to do a post about it. The problem is that most of the what I wore posts that I see, the girls look like models with a professional photographer who took their photo. So you can see how it would be intimidating. So I am going to overcome my fear and post my one photo I have from my point and shoot camera, with red eyes and all. :) Also please excuse the painting supplies you see in the bottom left corner, that is just how it is when you are trying to redo your 200 year old house and live in it at the same time!

Shirt (Inc Macy's-I have to confess that it must be 7 years old, but I still love it and feel good in it)
Skirt (Gap) Tights (Gap)
Shoes (Steve Madden)
Earrings (NY & Company)

  3. you go girl for getting up the courage! for the longest time i was taking my pictures with my cell phone, self timer on my camera, and in the bathroom at my house. and shamelessly asking anyone and everyone to take a picture when i felt like i looked cute. i have just been absolutely blessed now to be able to be working with a photographer. --i totally know what you mean girl- i realllly do. your outfit looks great, and you have the right attitude!

  6. It is really helpful to know a little bit about photography when taking pictures for a blog! I think what has helped me the most was learning about rules of thirds. You can learn about that just by typing "rules of thirds wiki" into goole search. Also, if you want to edit your pictures, Picnik.com is a great online photo editing site! I hope this help! And by the way, your outfit is SO cute! Good for you for getting up the courage to post it!

  7. You look super pretty! I love that you decided to go for it!
See, I used to think I was not such a good blogger because everybody else writes much better than I do, and because they look super cute on their outfits, and their photographs are so great... but then I realized I'd never do anything if I kept thinking that way!

I'm so proud of you! Oh, and by the way.. I got here through The Blair Affairs. I'm so glad I bumped into your blog. Maybe you could come visit me too sometime!
